1. Agreement
By creating an account on Whizlo, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
Whizlo is operated by Whizlo Ltd (company registration pending), referred to as "we", "us", or "Whizlo". "You" refers to the parent or guardian creating an account.
2. The service
Whizlo provides:
- Personalised daily learning assignments for children across multiple subjects
- AI-powered question generation, marking, hints, and tutoring
- Progress tracking and reports for parents
- Educational games as rewards for completed learning
- Music practice tools and tuition
Whizlo is a supplementary learning tool. It is not a replacement for school education and we do not guarantee any specific educational outcomes.
3. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create a parent account
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure
- Child profiles can only be created by a registered parent or guardian
- You must provide accurate information when registering
- One person may not create multiple accounts
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
4. Subscriptions and payments
- Whizlo offers a free tier with limited features
- Paid subscriptions unlock the full platform and are billed monthly or annually
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details
- You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase if you have not used the platform significantly
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Whizlo for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the platform's content
- Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to interact with the platform
- Upload harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
- Circumvent any security measures or access controls
6. Content and intellectual property
- All questions, learning content, games, and platform design are owned by Whizlo Ltd
- Content is generated using AI and reviewed for quality — while we strive for accuracy, occasional errors may occur
- You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially use any Whizlo content without permission
- Your child's answers and learning data belong to you — you can export or delete it at any time
7. AI-generated content
Whizlo uses artificial intelligence to generate educational content, provide feedback, and personalise learning. While we have quality controls in place:
- AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors
- AI feedback is not a substitute for professional educational assessment
- We continuously review and improve content quality
- If you spot an error, please report it to support@whizlo.com
8. Availability
We aim to keep Whizlo available 24/7 but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may need to take the platform offline for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues. We will give reasonable notice of planned downtime where possible.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Whizlo Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email and display a notice in the app. Continued use of Whizlo after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
